Your data, handled like your gold.
Weighed, recorded, and kept where it belongs. This page says plainly what we collect when you buy bullion from us, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. It is used to serve your order and nothing else.
A national ID is requested solely for high-value purchases that Egyptian anti-money-laundering rules cover.
Payments are handled by the provider. We see that a payment succeeded, never your card or banking credentials.
Anyone at Swiss Gold who opens your order leaves a record with their name, the time and what they changed.
Who we are
Swiss Gold Precious Metal Refining ("Swiss Gold", "we") sells investment bullion in Egypt through this website and our branches. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Questions about your data go to info@swissgold.com.eg or the hotline 19215.
What we collect
Order details: your name, mobile number, email, and the delivery address or the branch you choose for pickup.
Purchase records: the items, the weight, the price locked at the moment you ordered, the payment method and its reference, and the serial numbers of the bars issued to you.
Identity documents: a national ID number only where Egyptian anti-money-laundering rules require it for a high-value purchase. We do not ask for it otherwise.
Payment evidence: when you pay by InstaPay you may upload a transfer receipt so the desk can confirm the money arrived. We never see or store your card number or banking credentials.
Technical basics: your browser keeps your cart and your answer to the privacy notice on your own device. Our servers keep ordinary security logs.
Why we use it
To quote a live price, hold it while you check out, and take your order.
To deliver insured to your address or hand the order over at a branch, which means sharing your name, phone and address with the courier carrying it.
To confirm payment, issue your invoice, and honour buy-back later against the serial numbers we sold you.
To meet Egyptian tax, hallmarking and anti-money-laundering obligations. A bullion sale is a financial record, so we cannot delete a completed order on request.
To send you order updates by WhatsApp, SMS or email. These are service messages about your own order, not marketing.
Who can see it
Swiss Gold staff, limited by role: branch staff see their own branch, the desk sees orders and payments, and every action is recorded in an internal audit log with the name of the person who took it.
The courier that delivers your order, and the payment provider that processes your payment.
Egyptian authorities where the law requires disclosure.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
How long we keep it
Order, invoice and serial records are kept for as long as Egyptian commercial and tax law requires.
Identity documents are kept only for the retention period the anti-money-laundering rules set, then removed.
Abandoned carts and expired price locks fall away on their own and carry no personal detail beyond what you typed.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, and ask us to stop sending non-essential messages.
You can ask for deletion, and we will remove everything we are not legally required to retain as a financial record.
Clearing your browser data removes the cart and the privacy choice this site stored on your device.
Write to info@swissgold.com.eg and we will answer within a few working days.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted. Staff accounts are individual, role-limited, and every change they make is logged.
Payment receipts and identity documents are stored so that only staff with the matching permission can open them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new date, and ask you to accept it again when the change is material.
Ask us anything about your data and a person will answer — not a form.
